Why do I need to enter an Account Type?

Account Type is a categorization tool that will be utilized in the Balance Sheet and Income Statement Dashboard Reports.

When you are adding a new account to your Chart of Accounts, you are asked to select an Account Type.

This type will be used as a categorization and filter variable in Dashboard reports and future benchmarking.
