How do I change the Units of Measure on existing inputs?
Existing unit lists are restricted to units of the same domain if the product has been used in field records or financial transactions.
If the input has already been used in a Field Record or in a Financial transaction, you will see the following message:
Unit list is restricted to units of the same domain because this input has been used in inventory Transactions and/or Field Records.
If you would like to track the input in a different manner, please create a new product and set it up with the appropriate application and inventory units:
At this time, you cannot retire existing inputs and there you will want to rename the old input to ensure that you do not use it in future records. An example would be Traction Custom Product becomes z_Traction Custom Product.
