2024 Payroll Holiday Calendar

As payroll is run, it's important to keep track of what holidays banks recognize. Payroll runs are calculated using business days, not calendar days—with that in mind, holidays are not recognized as a business day.

• Check dates can not be selected for bank holidays. Only use check dates for the business day before the holiday or the next business day after the holiday. All pending checks must be submitted two (2) non-holiday business days before the check date.
           For example, if there is a holiday on Monday and an employer wants to have their check date on Tuesday, the cutoff time to create an employer check would need to be created by Thursday (instead of by Friday if there was no holiday).
• If your tax deposit due date falls on a bank holiday, taxes are due the following business day.
