This article explains how to create an invoice for crop sales while automatically reducing your crop from inventory.
You will need a Traction Pro subscription to take advantage of Invoicing customers in your Traction account. If you are currently on a Basic or Plus package, please contact our Sales team at 1-888-466-6080 (Option 1) to explore upgrading to a Pro package.
1. Navigate to Accounting > Invoices > in the left side menu and select the + New Invoice button
2. Select the Entity you would like the invoice to be create for. Next select the customer you would like to invoice. Click Next to continue.
3. Enter information for areas 1-6 to be displayed on your invoice. Upload a file for your records in step 7 if desired.
4. Select the Crops area box "Click to add harvested crop sale items" and then enter the Items Sold. If you are selling more than one crop, select the + Crops icon to add more lines to enter additional crops.
1. Select the Account you want the crop sale recorded to.
2. Enter a Description of your sale (Optional)
3. Select your Harvest Product for the crop that has been previously entered in inventory.
4. Select the Crop Year for the Harvest Product you are selling.
5. Select the Storage Location for the Harvest Product you want removed from inventory and to be sold on this invoice.
6. Enter the Quantity you wish to invoice.
7. Enter the Unit Price to calculate the Total Sale amount or enter the Total Sale amount and the unit price will automatically be calculated for you.
After you have completed entering the Item Sold information click Next to continue.
5. Preview your invoice then select to either go Back to make changes, Save & Close or Save & Print your invoice.
6. When selecting Save & Print you will be given a pop up tab to print your invoice.
Please be advised that although revenue may be recorded as accounts receivable upon issuance of an invoice, the corresponding cash inflow will not be reflected in your financial records until the payment has been received and processed. No revenue should be considered as realized or available for operational use until the invoice has been fully paid and the funds are deposited.
If the additional tab fails to open for printing, you may have a pop-up blocker preventing you from accessing the tab. It is recommended to disable this setting within your browser settings.
