Why should I add Mixes instead of individual products to an Input Application Task?

Requirements:

  • Set up your Fields/Boundaries and Inputs.

Answer:

To provide a more efficient experience for the operator performing the task, it is important to incorporate products as a Mix rather than as separate, individual products.

When creating a Tank Mix, the amount of carrier is automatically adjusted so that the total amount of product adds up to the total Application Rate.

To get started, navigate to Operations>Plans>Crop Plans to create your Input Application Task using a Mix:

The Traction Enterprise mobile app provides a Tank Mix Calculator to help the Operator easily calculate how much product will be needed in each field or tank.

Once the Mix has been added into an Input Application task, the Operator has the ability to edit the rate of the Mix, change products from the Mix, add products into the Mix, or edit the rate of individual products.

If you add individual products to the Input Application task instead of a Mix, the operators cannot edit the rate and calculations must be done on their own.
