What happens when I update a Harvest Setting?

Overview:

Harvest Settings can be adjusted after harvest has begun, any changes affect only Harvest records moving forward. Therefore, any Harvest Tasks that were completed prior to the settings change will remain the same and will be based off of the previously specified settings.

Requirements:

  • Harvest Settings include the Conversion Rate, Shrink and Target Moisture.   These can be found on the Setup>Crops page. Check and update these settings each year before you begin harvest.

Answer:

If you want to update previous Harvest records to reflect the change in shrink related Harvest Settings, navigate to the Crops>Inventory>Reconciliation page, locate the truck tickets from the field to the storage location that you want to change, and click to open the scale ticket to edit.

After the scale ticket is open, click Recalculate.

This will adjust the Net Dry bushels based on the changes you made to Harvest Settings. In this case, we changed the Shrink Factor from 1.4 to 1.0 so the Net Dry Bushels increased when we recalculated (shown below).

Click Save & Close to keep the changes.

Note: If you need to edit the conversion rates or transfer or final quantities for past harvest records, you will need to recreate the transfer for the new settings to be available. Contact Support if you would like help with this.
