Requirements:
- Set up your Fields/Boundaries and Inputs.
Answer:
When working with your Field Plans, you may need to edit the overall planned application rate for a mix. Manually changing the overall planned application rate for a tank mix will have two different outcomes:
- When the carrier for the tank mix is water, the application rates of the individual tank mix components remains the same
- When the carrier for the tank mix is another product, the application rate of the carrier will change proportionately
Let's take a look at an example:
Say you have a mix that contains:
- 32 fl oz/ac of a herbicide
- 32 fl oz/ac of another chemical
- Overall application rate of 15 gallons per acre
- The carrier is water
When you change the overall application rate to 10 gallons per acre, the individual product application rates will remain the same.
If you wanted to change the rates of the individual mix components, select "Edit Mix," edit the rate on each input as needed, and "Save."
Let's take a look at another example:
Say you have a mix that contains:
- 11.50 fl oz/ac of an insecticide
- 10 gal/ac overall application rate
- Starter fertilizer as the carrier
When you change the overall application rate in this example, the carrier rate adjusts proportionately.
If you want to change the application rate of the insecticide, but not the overall application rate on the entire Tank Mix, select "Edit Mix" adjust the rate of application for the insecticide and "Save."
