What do I do if there are Data Syncing issues with the mobile app?

Overview:

If you ever find that Work Orders or Tasks are not syncing between your mobile app and the Traction Enterprise web application, there are a few things you should check to troubleshoot the syncing issues.

Requirements:

  • The Traction Enterprise mobile app downloaded on your iOS or Android mobile device.
  • Login to Traction Enterprise Mobile App using the login credentials set up for you.

Answer:

  1. Do not log out if you think data is not syncing. It's better to make sure the phone has internet connectivity first (open a browser and make sure you can browse web pages successfully) and if so, try to sync the app again.

Note: If the web cannot be accessed, then stay logged in until there is network connectivity and then sync again.

  1. Check to see if you are running the latest version available of the Traction Enterprise app.
  2. Make sure the device has a data plan.
  3. Reset the filters within the Task tab to start from a clean/default state.

If you're still experiencing syncing issues, take a screenshot your work so your actuals (entered data) are preserved (we can help you back-populate the data, if needed). 

If the above options don't resolve the issue, send as much of the following information as you can to Customer Support (chat, email enterprisesuccess@tractionag.com, or call 888-843-4924) to help troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Let us know which Work Order had the sync issue (i.e., which Boundary).
  2. What is the Operator login email?
  3. Describe the Sync Issue behavior. Is the Operator getting an error displayed on the phone? 
  4. Send a screenshot of the current state on the phone, or take a video of what is happening.
  5. What is the date and approximate time you were seeing issues?
  6. What, if any, differences are there between the mobile device that is not syncing correctly and other mobile devices in your operation that are working properly?
  7. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?
