Task and Work Order Completion Rules

Overview:

While you are able to complete Work Order via the mobile app, you can manually mark Tasks and Work Orders as Complete in the Traction Enterprise web app.

Requirements:

In order to mark Work Orders complete, you must have Work Orders assigned to Tasks.

Answer:

It is important to understand the following relationships between Work Order and Task completion:

  • A Task is automatically marked as complete if all the Work Orders associated with it are complete.
  • For Tasks that were assigned to more than one Operator:
    • When completing a Work Order that has been assigned to multiple individuals, Operators have the option to select whether or not the entire field is complete, or if there is more work to be done (by the remaining Operators).
    • A Task is automatically marked as Paused if one (but not all) of the associated Work Orders are complete.
    • A Task can be manually marked as complete (in the web app) regardless of the Work Order status. When this is done, the Work Order status is updated to show as Complete for all assigned Operators.

Example: Input Application Task with two assigned Operators

Example: Input Application Task with one Work Order completed (with status of the Task updated to Paused).

Example: Input Application Task that was marked as Complete via the web app (both Work Orders have been updated to Completed).

Notes:

  • When an Operator completes a Work Order from their mobile device and does not specify the amount of product used or area applied, Traction Enterprise reads that as 0 Actuals applied towards that particular Task.
  • When completing a Task individually from the web, you'll be prompted to indicate whether Planned Actuals should be attributed towards this Task.
  • When marking Complete via the Task Manager page, use planned inputs and amounts as actuals if no other record exists.
