Overview:
Calculating product conversions as you fill up your sprayer tank this spring can be a pain. The Traction Enterprise Tank Mix Calculator allows you to quickly calculate how much of any given product you need to make a complete load of your Tank Mix. Better yet, you can base this load calculation on the total acres you want to spray or the total gallons.
Requirements:
- The Traction Enterprise mobile app downloaded on your iOS or Android mobile device.
- Login to the Traction Enterprise Mobile App using the email address and password set up for you in the Traction Enterprise Business web application.
- Input application work orders assigned to applicable operators.
Answer:
To access the Tank Mix Calculator:
- Open the Spraying (or other input application) work order assigned to you via the Traction Enterprise mobile app.
- In the Plan section of your work order, tap View.
- Select Mix Calculator.
- At the top, click > to toggle between calculating the load based on the total number of acres or total number of gallons you want to spray.
- After you choose the unit, enter the total number of acres or gallons to calculate.
- The amount of product needed (shown below) adjusts accordingly and you can fill your sprayer based on the new amounts provided.
Example
We have a work order to spray the field "IL - 31" (a 64.48 ac field), but we know we're going to be applying to an adjacent, 20 acre field, using the same load of Tank Mix from the sprayer.
Because we only want to fill up the sprayer once, we can use the Traction Enterprise Tank Mix Calculator to determine how much of each product is needed to spray both fields:
- Increase the acreage in the Calc. field from 64.48 acres (the current field), to include the adjacent 20 acre field we also want to spray
- The associated amounts for all of the Tank Mix components adjust appropriately (differentiating between the total load amount, and the total field amount), so we can fill our sprayer with the necessary product quantities
To return to the work order, click the Back button (<) at the top.
