How do I track revenue for non-GMO or organic crops?
Overview:
Traction Enterprise Business makes it easy to manage your variety specific, non-GMO, or organic crops separately from your conventionally grown and managed crops.
Requirements:
- Crops setup in your account under Setup>Crops.
- Normally, you will have to contact Customer Support to have these unique harvest products added to your account.
Process:
- To get started, contact your Customer Success Manager or our Support Team.
- We will ask you these questions to determine:
- Whether you track the crop by variety (indicate which variety or varieties).
- The Harvest Product associated with this particular crop (grain, seed, silage)
- Whether the end product will be not organic, organic, transitional organic (if applicable), or non-GMO.After we have that information, we enable the appropriate crop product for your farm operation; for example, non-GMO grain corn.
After the crop is enabled, you can manage your non-GMO grain corn separately from your conventional corn, specify pricing differences between the two, and track yields separately using Harvest Tasks with the appropriate Harvest Product.
