How do I track fertilizer and chemicals applied through my irrigation system?

Overview:

Traction Enterprise makes it easy for you to track Fertigation and Chemigation tasks.

Requirements:

To track Fertigation and Chemigation tasks:

  1. Make sure that you have the necessary inputs in your catalog. For a refresher on how to do this, click here.
  2. Create an Irrigation Task on the Crop Plans page.
  3. Include Fertigation or Chemigation in the name of the task so it is easy to identify.
  4. Set the timing of the task to cover the full irrigation season, which ensures that the task is available for assignment throughout the season.
  5. Add inputs individually or as a mix.
  6. Estimate the quantity of product being applied for the entire season on a per acre basis so that the financials reflect accurate plans for budgeting purposes. Actuals accrue as your operators complete work orders throughout the season.

Process:

To track your input usage throughout the season:

  1. Add this task to any of your Crop Plans that need it
  2. Create a "dummy" operator on the Setup>People page and assign them a work order for this task to ensure that the task is always open and you can assign and complete multiple work orders without actually completing the task.
  3. Have your operators track their actuals just like they would with any other Input Application and enter it in the work order.
  4. When you finish with this task, mark it as complete in the web app.
