Overview:
To track custom work you do for someone else, you'll first need to ensure that the Operational Boundaries have been imported into Traction Enterprise. The example uses the field boundary "Bergs South".
Requirements:
Ensure that the entity you will be working with is setup as a Landowner. The example uses "Betsy Nygrins."
Specify the ownership of the boundary or boundaries where you will perform custom work via the Setup>Land Agreements page.
When working on land agreements for custom farmed boundaries, set these up as crop share agreements where 100% of the share goes to the landowner (that is, the person for whom you are doing the custom farming). This setup ensure that harvested bushels are allocated appropriately.
Add the boundary to necessary Field Groups via the Setup>Fields>Field Groups page.
Tip: Many farms create a dedicated Custom Operations field group to more closely manage their custom farmed operational boundaries.
Process:
Navigate to Operations>Plans>Crop Plans and create a Custom Crop Plan that encompasses all possible custom work that will be completed.
Navigate to Operations>Plans>Field Plans and assign your newly created custom Plan to the relevant fields. Customize the field plan for the boundary by editing, adding, or removing tasks.
Create Work Orders as needed for relevant tasks by using the Task Manager or Task Review pages.
