How do I set up a lease with Input Cost Sharing?

Overview:

Traction Enterprise can help you manage your Input Cost Shares through Land Agreements.

Requirements:

Add the appropriate Landowner and Lessee Entities on the Setup>Entities page.

Process:

  1. Navigate to Setup>Land Agreements.
  2. Use the filters at the top to filter for a specific boundary or group of boundaries or by Landowner.

To add or edit an input share lease to a boundary:

  1. If no agreement already exists, click Add Agreement for a selected boundary.
  2. If an agreement already exists, click the row to expand it and then add terms for each item in the lease.
  3. To add an Input Share term, click Add Input Share and enter the percentage.
  4. Click Advanced Options for more advanced Input Share terms or exceptions.
  5. Specify the percentage for each Input Type (Seed, Chemical or Fertilizer) and each Input Category (Herbicide, Insecticide).

To bulk add or edit an Input Share Lease to multiple boundaries:

  1. Select the relevant boundaries.
  2. Click Add/Edit Terms.
  3. In the Add/Edit Terms dialog box, add or edit a term on all the boundaries you selected.
  4. Select Apply.
  5. If the terms of your land agreement are specific to a certain type of input, enter them in Advanced Options (for example, the landowner pays for 25% of fertilizer use, but is not responsible for seed or chemical use). Add further exceptions by input category (herbicide, fungicide).
  6. Click Apply.
  7. If an Agreement does not already exist, click Add Agreement for the relevant boundary and enter the agreement terms, including the input cost share.

Example 1

Landowner Jason Boone pays for 33% of all inputs on Field - 12.

  1. On the Land Agreements page, find or filter for Field - 12.
  2. Click the row for that boundary and click Add Input Share.
  3. Enter 33%.
