How do I record crop deliveries from another farm?
Overview:
Sometimes you may find yourself buying crop from another farm. Traction Enterprise allows you to do this easily with our Third Party Inbound Inventory Loads.
Requirements:
In order to record a Third Party Inbound Inventory Load, you will first need:
- Crops added to your Traction Enterprise account.
- The Entity that will take ownership of the crop.
Process:
- Navigate to Crops>Inventory>Transfers.
- Click "Add" at the top and select "Third Party Inbound Inventory Load".
- This will display a popup form (similar to the Harvest Load and Hauling Load forms) where you can capture weights, quality, and other information.
- Instead of a harvested field, this form allows you to indicate the entity that will own the crop delivered to your inventory.
- This should be a farm entity that will be taking ownership of this crop. Not the entity that you are buying the crop from.
- Now you can go to Crops>Inventory>Ownership Balances to see this transfer in action.
- Click to the "Transfers" tab on this page. You should see the transfer you just created going into your ownership as well as your physical inventory.
