How do I get electronic records of FSA boundaries?
Answer
There are two ways to access your electronic records of your FSA boundaries:
- Via your County or Regional FSA Office.
Click Create a CLU Shapefile for a Producer at the bottom to download a PDF document with detailed instructions for an FSA agent or FSA software specialist. Typically, a producer needs to visit the respective FSA office in different counties to obtain your boundaries.
Note: FSA frequentely updates boundary records. These updates are based on landowner changes, crop field changes, and enrollment in conservation incentive programs. Each request for electronic boundaries requires authorization from the farm owner.
- Via your Crop Insurance Company
Your crop insurance company also has digital records of your FSA boundaries.
Note: FSA boundaries obtained from your insurance company and the FSA office might have differences because there is a time delay between updates moving between these two organizations.
