How do I export boundaries from MyJohnDeere?

Overview:

One of the first and most crucial steps in setting up your Traction Enterprise account is to configure your Fields and Operational Boundaries.  One option for getting your field boundaries into Traction Enterprise is by exporting the Shapefiles or boundaries from MyJohnDeere.

Requirements:

  • Obtain these files from a relevant source.
    • We encourage customers to reach out to Support or their CSM for assistance on importing these boundaries.

Process:

Log in to your MyJohnDeere account and follow these steps:

  1. Select the Operations Center tab. 
  2. On the Map view, select the Fields icon to view the list of fields.

  3. Click Select All or choose the fields you would like to export.

  4. Select the Arrow icon to export your field files.

  5. Select the following:
    Which file type would you like to use? Shapefile
    Which data should be exported for the # selected Fields? Boundary (current active #)

  6. Enter the file name and select Export.

  7. After export finishes (this can take awhile), click the More tab and select Files.
  8. Select the correct file to download to your computer as a .ZIP file.

  9. Proceed to your Traction Enterprise account to import field boundaries.
