Overview
Traction Enterprise is able to integrate with John Deere's Operations Center, allowing for field operations data to automatically flow from the Ops Center to Traction Enterprise. However, establishing the integration only pulls data in automatically for the past 2 weeks. These are the steps you should follow to bring in JD Ops Center data beyond this 2 week window.
Requirements
-
Your field operations will only link if a Field Plan has been assigned to the Boundary the activity occurred on.
-
The Task needs to be setup to match the Machine Data file.
-
For example, a Fertilizer Spreading Task must be setup in a Crop Plan in order for the "As Applied" field operation to be tied to that Task. If needed, view this introduction to working with Machine Data in Traction Enterprise.
-
-
Inputs must be set up in Traction Enterprise, and need to match the input names in your monitors.
Process
Example: Let's say in March you set up or re-authorized the JD integration in Traction Enterprise. This process only pulled in 2 weeks of recent data from the Ops Center, but you want your data back to fall spreading in October of the previous year.
-
Go to MyJohnDeere (MyJD), click on "Operations Center."
-
Go to More and select Files. Choose the date range you wish to find files within.
NOTE: The smaller the file, the faster it will process, and the higher likelihood it will process successfully. Imports are set with a max of 200 MB file size; however, we recommend keeping the file size much lower than this (e.g. 50 MB or less).
TIP: Select date ranges by month, and save the zip file with a "Org_Month_Year_operation type" format (e.g. "Smith Farms_Oct_2019_Fall spreading.zip"). If the majority of operations occurred in a single month, consider splitting into multiple pieces for the same month (e.g. "Smith Farms_Oct_2019_Fall spreading_A.zip", "Smith Farms_Oct_2019_Fall spreading_B.zip", "Smith Farms_Oct_2019_Fall spreading_C.zip").
-
Click the "Download" icon and choose "Desktop or device." This will package selected files into a single ".zip" file on your Desktop. Repeat "Custom Date Range" steps if downloading data in multiple sets to limit file size.
-
Go to Traction Enterprise and select Operations>Machine Data to follow the manual import process.
You can monitor the file processing status on the "Source Files" tab on the Machine Data page. Field Operations that successfully process are then able to be viewed and edited on the "Field Operations tab on the Machine Data page.
