How do I create Grazing tasks?

Overview: 

Traction Enterprise can help you easily manage grazing that occurs on your fields and the other farm activities you complete each year.

Some farmers might plant winter wheat, allow cattle to graze on it for a short time, and then harvest it in the late spring. in this example, you might want to track the fact that grazing took place.

Requirements:

Field must have a plan.

Process:

To add a Grazing task to the plan for a field:

  1. Navigate to Operations>Plans>Field Plans.
  2. Locate the field where you want to add a grazing task. To do this on multiple fields, use Task Manager.
  3. Click the name of the Plan assigned to that field.
  4. In the Plan Details window, click Add Task.
  5. Select Create New Task and then Other or select a Grazing Task if you already have one set up. 2019-11-04_09-43-06.jpg

When you create a new grazing task, enter information as an "other" task.

  1. In the Create new Other Task dialog box, select Other for the Type and name it Grazing.
  2. For Completion by, enter who will complete the grazing task.
  3. For Timing, enter a date range that reflects the grazing time period.
  4. Click Save.

When you do this, the Grazing task appears on the Task Manager page where you can create work orders just as you would for any other task.
