Overview:
Often Inventory Locations and bins store multiple crops at various times of the year. The way you change the crops associated with a bin in Traction Enterprise depends on whether you have already used that particular Crop Storage.
Requirements:
- Setup inventory locations in Setup>Inventory Locations.
Process:
- Navigate to Setup>Inventory Locations.
- On the Inventory Locations grid, click in the Crop Storage column for a location.
- In the Edit Crop Storage dialog box, select a new crop from the Current Crop menu and then click the arrow on the right to select a crop product (for example, Grain).
- Change the Storage Name and Capacity if necessary.
To make a container inactive and create a new one:
If you previously used a container to store a harvested crop, you cannot change the current crop type or fully delete that crop storage container because there are associated historical activities. You can deactivate that container and create a new one with the same name to store the new crop.
- In the Edit Crop Storage dialog box, clear the Active selection.
- Click Add on the bottom left and create your new container.
- The Storage Name of the new container can be the same as the name of the old container that it is replacing.
