How do I change crop prices?

Overview:

It is important to keep your crop price estimates current.  We use these, along with the Estimated Yield specified within each Harvest Task, to derive the Planned Crop Revenue in Profit Analyzer.  We also use this to determine the expected value of Contracts that have not fully been priced (that is, actual net price has not been determined).

Requirements:

  • Crop Prices entered into Traction Enterprise via Setup>Crops.

Process:

  1. Navigate to Setup>Crops.
  2. Scroll down your list of crops and select the one you want to edit.
  3. On the Price Estimates tab, enter the estimated Net Price and Estimated Basis.

Note: The Estimated Net Price should be your best estimate of the weighted average price you will obtain from selling all of that crop from that Production Cycle.

Similarly, the Estimated Basis should be your best estimate of the average Basis you will obtain for that Production Cycle. If a particular crop does not have a Basis price, then just leave the field empty.
