How do I assign multiple seed varieties to one field?
Overview:
In some situations, you may need to assign multiple seed varieties to one field. There are a couple of ways to do this in Traction Enterprise.
Requirements:
- Complete Setup tab (i.e. Inputs, Land Agreements, Financial Accounts, Fields/Boundaries) and begin to set up your Crop Plans, Tasks, and Field Plans.
Process:
If you grow varieties that do not need to be managed separately (for instance, they have the same genetic traits), you can simply apply two seed varieties to that particular field.
- Navigate to Operations>Plans>Seed Plans.
- Click one or more seed varieties from the column on the left and drag them onto your desired Fields in the middle of the screen.
- To unassign a Seed from a Field, click the Seed name and select Unassign From Task.
In other cases, you might need to manage the two varieties separately (that is, if they have different traits, such as Liberty Link versus RR2 Xtend).
- In this case, create separate Boundaries for each variety.
- Apply separate Plans to each variety to clearly define what you plan to grow on each one.
