Overview:
Currently, Traction Enterprise requires a Crop Plan and Field Boundary before you can issue Tasks and Work Orders. However, Some customers also want to assign Tasks and Work Orders to non-field activities (such as "shop work" or "running to town").
Requirements:
- Setup your People for assigning Work Orders to Tasks
Process:
- On the Setup>Fields page, create a Field Boundary with zero acres and enter a name for this field and boundary; for example, Field: "Home Shop" / Boundary: "Home Shop".
- On the Operations>Plans>Crop Plans page, create a new Crop Plan.
- Name the Crop Plan "Home Shop" and create twelve Tasks (select Type: "Other") with a calendar window that encompasses each month. In this example, we named them "Shop Work - [Month]".
- On the Operations>Plans>Field Plans page, assign "Home Shop" Crop Plan to "Home Shop" Boundary to create a "Shop Work" Task that overlaps with every day of the year.
- From the "Shop Work" Tasks, you can create Work Orders and rename them to the specific job that needs to be completed.
Your operators receive this shop Work Order on their mobile device just like a field Work Order. The name of the Work Order is at the top and additional notes are included in the Notes section. The operator can send notes and photos back to the office from their Work Order.
Note: Because Traction Enterprise currently requires a Field Plan for general Tasks, the number of "Planting" Tasks in your Task Review might be off.
