Answer
All balances on the Input Balances page are a current, real-time view that accounts for the amounts that you have on-hand. These balances are calculated from your Input Transfers - deliveries, returns, adjustments, inventory transfers, and applications. Input Balances will allow negative balances, which arise when complete tasks that use an input are greater than the corresponding deliveries, adjustments, or transfers.
If you are questioning a calculation on the Input Balances page, the best place to dig into that quantity is Input Transfers. For a more in-depth overview of Input Transfers, see Getting Started: An Overview of Input Transfers.
