Overview:
The Traction Enterprise mobile app makes it easy for your employees to know what they need to accomplish for the day, record information about what they have completed, see what other Operators have been up to, and see Tasks that have yet to be assigned to someone. Below are some of the basic steps for putting the mobile app to work for you.
Requirements:
- The Traction Enterprise mobile app downloaded on your iOS or Android mobile device.
- Login using the email address and password set up for you in the Traction Enterprise Business web application.
Answer:
Work Orders
After logging in, you'll be guided to the Work Orders screen. The Work Orders screen shows you all of the Work Orders assigned to you for today's date, organized based on the time they are assigned (Work Orders that were assigned first show up at the top).
The sync icon at the top left of the screen (two arrows in the shape of a circle) can be used to manually refresh the app. A bar across the top of the screen will tell you when the last sync took place.
The Work Orders screen will also group Work Orders by their Status (i.e., In Progress, Paused, Not Started, Completed), so you can see the progress you have made throughout the day with just a quick glance.
Tap the funnel icon in the top right corner to view Work Orders assigned to other Operators (if this permission has been enabled in the web application; learn more here).
If you tap on a particular Work Order, you will see the Work Order details page that contains location details (including access to turn-by-turn directions to that field), the Work Order status, the ability to add notes and photos, and the ability to "Reassign" this Work Order to another Operator (if the proper permissions have been enabled).
Further down on the Work Order details screen, you'll encounter the information-packed Plan and Actual sections (for certain types of Work Orders such as "Spraying").
- Plan Section
- View currently planned inputs associated with your Work Order
- Add any inputs that may be needed for you to complete this Work Order
- Actual Section
- Keep track of the time you have spent on this Work Order (pertains to certain Tasks only)
- Specify equipment
- Add Inputs and Actuals associated with your Work Order.
Tip
When completing Work Orders, we recommend the Operator take a photo of the monitor in the equipment that they are operating and attach it to the Work Order. This gives the Manager the ability to double check the amounts entered into the app by the Operator against what the monitor said.
Add
The Add button allows Operators with the correct permissions enabled to:
- Record Work
- Assign Work
- Add Hauling Loads
Record Work is a handy feature to use when you need to record work in the field that you've just done, but didn't have a Task or Work Order available for.
Assign Work is a fast and convenient way to send out Work Orders to yourself or other Operators with the correct permissions enabled.
Record Hauling Loads allows you to record loads of crop moved between Storage Locations, and from Storage Locations to Customer Locations, directly from your mobile device. This not only reduces work in the office and eliminates errors, but also allows you to have a real-time snapshot of your inventory by location.
It's important to remember that a Work Order is not required to create a Hauling Load. An operator with the appropriate permissions can create a Hauling Load directly from the Traction Enterprise Business mobile app. Hauling loads can be entered through the "More" tab as well.
Tasks
The Tasks page, found by tapping on the Tasks icon at the bottom of the screen, shows a list of all Tasks.
By default, these are organized according to your proximity to each Task, but can be filtered from A-Z, Z-A, or far-near as well, by tapping on the double arrow icon in the top right. They can also be filtered using the funnel icon, or you can search for a specific Task using the search bar.
Use the "+" icon to add Tasks to Field Plans from your mobile device by using the Record Work or Assign Work functionality.
To see details or create a Work Order for a Task:
- Tap on the name of the Task
- Scroll down to see the Task details
- Select "Create Work Order" to assign the Task to an Operator
- When you're on the Create Work Order page, select the appropriate Operator and tap "Confirm"
Activity Feed
The Activity Feed shows recent updates to the status of any Work Order assigned within your farming operation, the time when Work Orders are assigned, and any notes or photos that were attached to a Work Order. Also, you can now filter the Activity Feed by clicking the filter icon located at the top right portion of the screen. This will enable you to filter by Status, Operator, Field, and Crop for applicable data still available on the device.
More
From the More screen, you can access Crop Inventory and Settings.
Crop Inventory: Here you can add hauling loads and view loads that you've added within the past 3 days. If you are a Manager or Administrator you can view Crop Inventory Balances as well! The crop bin balances are Read-Only.
Settings: Specify how you want to manage Equipment Totals, change Location Services settings to use High Accuracy or Battery Saver Mode, or manage notifications by turning the "New Work Order" notifications on or off.
You can also adjust the interval at which your device sends you subsequent notifications to complete or pause a Work Order if you choose Remind Me Later Interval.
You can call the support line directly from the app by clicking on the Call Support. Moreover, you can Send Database if it is requested from our Support Dept. and you can view the Data & Privacy terms and conditions.
