Getting Started: How can I see Crop Balances?

Overview:

When marketing your crop, it can be helpful to know how much you actually have on hand. You can find a real-time look at your inventory in each bin based on harvest operations tracked in Traction Enterprise. In this article, we'll go over how to use the Inventory Balances page.

Requirements:

  • Contact Customer Support to add any crops that you may need.
  • Create Inventory Locations with Crop Storage for each bin site.
  • Create Crop Plans with Harvest Tasks.
  • Assign those plans to your fields.
  • Record harvest data including transfers going into inventory.

Process:

  1. Navigate to Crops>Inventory>Inventory Balances.
  2. To view the current balance in any specific bin or location, use the filters to select the "Location".
  3. Use the filter fields above the table to find exactly what you are looking for. The estimated value of each account is based on your price assumptions entered on the Setup>Crops page.
  4. Generate reports using the flexible column selection, filtering, and sorting mechanisms as you do on the Crops>Inventory>Transfers page.
