Getting Started: Hauling Loads

Overview:

The Traction Enterprise mobile app makes it easy for you to record Loads of Crop moved between Storage Locations and from Storage Locations to Customer Locations. This not only reduces work in the office and eliminates errors but also allows you to have a real-time snapshot of your inventory by location.

Requirements:

  • The Traction Enterprise mobile app downloaded on your iOS or Android mobile device.
  • Login to the Traction Enterprise Mobile App with hauling permissions enabled using the email address and password set up for you in the Traction Enterprise Business web application.

Answer:

Two important things to note before you get started:

  • Traction Enterprise does not require a Work Order to create a Hauling Load. Therefore, any Operator with the appropriate permissions can create a Hauling Load on-the-go, as needed.
  • However, an Operator will need to have the "Ability to view other Operators, Activity Feed and Inventory (Mobile)" permission enabled in order to record the Hauling Loads. To change settings, navigate to the Setup>People page.

Add a New Hauling Load

  • Hit the "+ Add" icon and select Haul Load
  • On the "Add Load" screen you can specify the details of the load, including Production Cycle, Crop, Origin, Destination, Operator and Equipment, as well as the weights for the load
  • Tap the blue "Save" bar at the bottom of the screen to finish adding the load

Tips

  • You can only enter the weights once you have selected the mandatory fields of Production Cycle, Crop, Origin and Destination (denoted by an *)
  • You can also create a load on behalf of another Operator (simply tap on the Operator field and select the appropriate Operator)
  • You also have the ability to split loads when needed, and to specify quality metrics as appropriate by selecting Edit Details
  • Additionally, you can choose to associate a contract with a load. This ensures that crop ownership balances are correctly attributed, while tracking where you stand with contract fulfillment.
  • If you've entered an Origin weight, be sure to also specify a Destination weight - otherwise your hauling load will display as 0.00 bu.

Two great things about this feature

  1. Once you enter a Load, you can automatically reuse the information for a future Load by tapping "Reuse Previous Load Information." This automatically fills in all the key information such as Origin, Destination, etc. All you need to do is enter in the weights.
  2. You can view a real-time snapshot of how much inventory you have sitting in a bin directly from the Traction Enterprise mobile app. Just tap the Origin field to see the current balance.
