Overview:
To review what's been done during the year, and to plan for what's to come, many growers, landowners, or other operational stakeholders may find it helpful to have a comprehensive Summary Report that allows for a look back at what has been accomplished on a field or group of fields throughout the concluding year.
Useful for both planning and reporting, the Field History Report can provide a field-level summary of completed Tasks of any Task type, over any timeframe, and surfaces input prices, dollars per acre, and total costs per field or per boundary.
We've added this report to our list of professional, printable .pdf reports that include:
- Yield by Field Report - View yield data, with a snapshot of the bushels coming off of a particular field, along with a field level summary.
- Application Records Report - View detailed information regarding your product applications, intended to meet regulatory and compliance reporting needs.
Requirements:
- Make sure you've Setup your farm (Inputs, Land Agreements, Financial Accounts, Fields/Boundaries, Crop Plans and Tasks, Field Plans).
- You should have completed Work Orders, Activity Records and Crop Transfers.
Process:
1. You can access the Field History Report by navigating to Reports>Field History.
2. On the left, you'll be able to filter by:
- Task completion date range (that is, the range of dates in which the Task(s) were completed)
- Landowner (selecting a Landowner will auto-select all of the boundaries owned by that particular landowner)
- County
- Boundary
- Task type
- Crop
3. On the right, configure which optional, operational information you'd like to include in the report.
4. Once you've configured the Field History Report as needed, click Generate and then select PDF.
- Your report will begin generating in the background
- You can view its progress in the lower left corner
- Once your report is complete, click the link to download the file to your computer
Remember, the Field History Report is a summary of all completed task types on a selected boundary. This report includes a summary of actual amounts used on completed Tasks only and is the most comprehensive Traction Enterprise report in terms of Task-level data. The report contains information such as:
- Field map
- FSA boundary number
- Task name, type, and sub-type
- Completed date
- Production cycle
- Crop
- Operator and Operator license number (if applicable)
- Equipment (if applicable)
- Input price, total cost & total cost per boundary area
Additionally, Planting or Input Application Tasks will also contain the following information:
- Product applied
- Area covered
- Rate
- Total quantity
Harvesting Tasks will contain a brief summary of the boundary's yield, including:
- Area covered
- Moisture
- Final quantity
- Yield
Once you've downloaded and reviewed your Field History Report, if you see something that doesn't look quite right, feel free to contact Customer Support or your Customer Success Manager.
Tips
- To pull up a report for a given production cycle, be sure to expand the Task completion date range filter to include any Tasks that may have been completed within the prior calendar year.
- Area covered for Tillage Tasks is not surfaced in this report.
