Overview:
Traction Enterprise lets you easily put your field operation data to work and use it to track actual amounts of product applied, Inputs used, machine hours ran and acres covered.
Requirements:
- Your field operations will only link if a Field Plan has been assigned to the Boundary the activity occurred on, as well as have accurate Tasks and Inputs configured.
- Import your field operation Machine Data into Traction Enterprise:
- 1. If you have an Ops Center account, set up a direct integration with MyJohnDeere to have automatic imports of field operation data into Traction Enterprise.
- 2. You can also schedule weekly Precision Planting FieldView imports into Traction Enterprise, contact our Customer Support Team or your Customer Success Manager for assistance in configuring your integration.
- 3. Import your data via thumb drive / desktop downloads (.zip).
- Make sure your Machine Data Import Settings are set via Setup>Import Settings.
Process:
- Navigate to Operations>Machine Data where you will see two tabs.
- The Field Operations tab shows where Machine Data has linked to existing Tasks in Traction Enterprise. This tab reflects the contents of the Source Files. The Source Files tab contains zip files that have been exported from MyJohnDeere or FieldView.
Viewing Field Operations:
- Select the Field Operations tab.
- Use the filters at the top to help narrow down exactly what you are looking for.
- Notes:
- If a match is found, Traction Enterprise allocates the planned product and actual rate from the machine to the Task.
- If Traction Enterprise cannot find a match or automatically create a Task, the Field Operations page will alert you with a Status. To filter for all unlinked Field Operations, click the Needs Review tab to manually review and link the data. If you don't want to manually link you may always exclude the file as well.
-
- Click any row to view the mapped Field Operation and the Tasks to which actual totals have been allocated. This will open the Field Operations Details screen. Here you can visualize both the interpreted monitor data (left-hand side, in grey), as well as Allocate Actuals to generate the activity record in Traction Enterprise (right-hand side, blue).
- If an activity record is not automatically generated, you can click "Autofill with estimated actuals" and proceed to edit/reconcile the appropriate boundary(ies), task, operator, equipment, input(s), area, and/or totals.

Viewing Source Files:

- Hovering over a a row, you will notice the Admin column reveal three actions:
- allows you to download the source file
- allows you to remove the source file
- allows you to reprocess the source file
- These actions can be useful if there were errors within your Machine Data file or if you added an alternate name to better interpret to Machine Data Record.
