Can I make one Spraying Task or Work Order for multiple boundaries?

Overview:

There are times where it would be beneficial to allocate a single task across multiple boundaries. A common example is with adjacent fields and an operator is directed to spray all of them at once. The Task Manager feature in Traction Enterprise allows you to easily create a Work Order for a Task and allocate it across several boundaries.

Note: If you use Machine Data, Traction Enterprise allows you to allocate Machine Data actuals to multiple boundaries after the job is performed. More on this at the end of this article.

Requirements:

  • Fields, Field Plans, and Inputs need to be set up.

Process:

1. Go to Operations>Task Manager and click on "Add Task."

2. Select Planned Task. You may also selected Completed Task if this task has been done but not recorded in Traction Enterprise yet.

3. You'll be brought into a screen that allows you to select from a variety of task types. Select "Input Application," then you'll have the option to either "Choose Input App Template" or "Create New Input Application Task". Click "Next - Task Details."

4. You can now enter or edit task name, task type, date scheduled, input storage location, as well as your input type and projected application rate. Click "Next - Choose Fields."

5. Select the fields you want the Spraying Task applied to, then click "Next - Review."

6. Here you can assign a Work Order to either one or multiple operators, enter a desired start time/date, and record notes for the operator(s). Once your task is created and assigned to an operator(s), the Work Order will automatically be sent to their mobile phone to complete on the desired date.
