Configure a Digi-Star GT 460 Grain Cart Scale for Autolog

Configure a Digi-Star 460 grain cart scale to properly use Autolog and send information via Bluetooth to the Conservis Row Crop App.

What’s Needed:  

  • A Digi-Star GT 460 grain cart scale installed, tested and working
  • A compatible Android or iOS device
  • Conservis Bluetooth adapter set for 8/N/1 communication
  • A pen or pencil

 

Procedure:

Note: Please write original values on blank line in each of the steps.

Perform Firmware Check

  1. Power on the scale.
  2. Enter 198 and press SELECT to view the firmware version of the scale.
    1. Record the firmware version __________________ and then Press ENTER or CLEAR to go back to the standard display.
    2. If the firmware reads EZ2 9.B continue on to the following steps.  If the firmware does not read EZ2 9.B or reads Invalid Selection contact the Conservis customer success team.

Configure the Grain Cart Scale

  1. Connect the Conservis Bluetooth adapter to the bottom of the scale-indicator (Serial COM1-2). 
  2. Power on the scale.
  3. Enter 213 and press SELECT to enter the settings for SCOREM ______________
    1. Use the up arrow to scroll through the selections until you reach 0.   This setting will make sure the scale is not in Broadcast mode. Press ENTER to save the setting.
  4. Enter 215 and press SELECT to enter the settings for COM IN _____________
    1. Use the up arrow to scroll through the selections until you reach EZ2CMD.  Press ENTER to save the setting.  Confirm EZ2CMD is selected, not EZCMD – an easy mistake.
  5. Enter 216 and press SELECT to enter the settings for PRTFMT._____________
    1. Use the up arrow to scroll through the selections until you reach PRTAC5.  Press ENTER to save the setting.
  6. Enter 217 and press SELECT to enter the settings for MEDIA._____________
    1. Use the up arrow to scroll through the selections until you reach DDL.  Press ENTER to save the setting.
  7. Enter 271 and press SELECT to enter the settings for COM 1-1 PARITY. _____________
    1. Use the up arrow to scroll through the selections until you reach 8N1.  Press ENTER to save the setting.
  8. Enter 275 and press SELECT to enter the settings for COM 1-1 BAUD RATE. _____________
    1. Use the up arrow to scroll through the selections until you reach 9600.  Press ENTER to save the setting.
  9. Enter 272 and press SELECT to enter the settings for COM 1-2 PARITY. _____________
    1. Use the up arrow to scroll through the selections until you reach 8N1.  Press ENTER to save the setting.
  10. Enter 276 and press SELECT to enter the settings for COM 1-2 BAUD RATE. _____________
    1. Use the up arrow to scroll through the selections until you reach 9600.  Press ENTER to save the setting.
  11. Enter 402 and press SELECT to enter the settings for RM INP. _____________
    1. Use the up arrow to scroll through the selections until you reach MIXCTR.  Press ENTER to save the setting.
  12. Enter 531 and press SELECT to enter the settings for RSSCTL. _____________
    1. Use the up arrow to scroll through the selections until you reach ON.  Press ENTER to save the setting.
  13. Power off the scale, wait 5 seconds and then power it back on.  The scale should now be prepared to have the Mobile Device paired to the Bluetooth adapter and the Conservis Row Crops application configured.
